Palermo director Walter Sabatini is ready to fight off an invasion from Barcelona who are eager to capture Javier Pastore during a summer transfer battle.
Reports in Spain continue to link Pastore with the Camp Nou giants but Sabatini has waded into battle and is shielding his prized asset from any raid.
"There is nothing to say about Pastore's contract. A lot of papers have been coming out with certain stories," he told Mediagol.it.
"When it's time to speak about Pastore's contract we will. Pastore has said he wants to remain at Palermo and this is great news for us, we welcome this.
"What happens in future we can only see over the next few months."
Despite exit reports linking Pastore with Real Madrid and Barcelona, his agent Marcelo Simonian recently hinted at an extension in Sicily.
