2GB remains radio's most popular radio station with Alan Jones and Ray Hadley dominant

ALAN Jones and Ray Hadley have kept their talkback radio crowns despite small slips in listener numbers in the latest survey.

Jones, who this month celebrates 25 years in the media, suffered a drop of 0.3 percentage points to claim 17.7 per cent of the breakfast audience share.

Hadley also shed 0.8 percentage points to grab 16.9 per cent of the morning timeslot audience.

The slips lead to a slight drop in overall numbers for their station 2GB, which shed 0.9 percentage points but retained the overall station lead with a total share of 14.3 per cent of the audience.

The breakfast leaders on the music station front, 2DayFM's Kylie Sandilands and Jackie O, dropped 0.8 percentage points to claim 11.8 per cent of the audience share.

Their main rivals, NOVA969's Merrick Watts, Scott Dooley and the sacked Ricki-Lee Coulter, gained 0।3 percentage points to claim 7.5 per cent of the breakfast audience, and WSFM's Amanda Keller and Brendan Jones shed 0.8 percentage points to grab 7.7 per cent audience share.

In the drive slot, comedy duo Hamish Blake and Andy Lee, who in August announced they will downsize their national radio show to only one appearance a week in 2011, shed 1.6 percentage points but still hold the drive crown in Sydney with 13.0 per cent of the audience.
